Gordie, the founder of Fishoholic, started the brand after a long journey that began when he saved up for his first rod combo in 4th grade. Growing up near Mt St Helens, Gordie spent his days fishing for largemouth, crappie, bluegill, trout, steelhead, and salmon. To pay for college, he fought Wildland Forest Fires in the summer and fished for crab in the Bearing Sea for Opilio on F/V Kiska Sea.

After college, Gordie moved to Las Vegas and started multiple businesses, but his love for fishing never faded. He often found himself driving to Utah to fish in streams and lakes, with Brown Trout becoming his obsession. He even traveled to 7 states in one year to fish for trout before and after attending conferences.

After being dubbed a Fishoholic by his business friends, Gordie decided to trademark the name and start his own brand. With 30 years of experience selling hunting, fishing, and camping gear, Gordie began branding Fishoholic on Flexfit Hats in just 4 colors and 2 sizes.

Three months later, the first snapback hat in camo was released, followed by hoodies and tees. After working long hours for 3 years, Gordie now has 5 other Fishoholics helping out. Fishoholic promises high-quality items that allow fishing enthusiasts to fish longer and in comfort.
